Terms

The rules that should govern Local Tickets.

These terms sections define the launch areas that need commercial and legal approval before the platform starts taking live payments or supporting live organiser accounts.

Launch approval needed Final company details, support route, organiser obligations, buyer terms, prohibited-use rules and dispute wording still need approval.

Using the platform

Local Tickets is intended to help organisers list events, sell tickets, manage orders and support buyers through secure checkout and ticket lookup tools.

Organiser responsibilities

Organisers should be responsible for accurate event details, venue information, age or accessibility notes, refund/cancellation decisions, fulfilment promises and lawful use of attendee data.

Buyer responsibilities

Buyers should provide accurate booking information, check event details before purchase and keep booking references or ticket details secure.

Fees and payment processing

Free events will always be free to use on the platform. The approved paid-ticket beta direction is a 40p Local Tickets platform fee per paid ticket, plus payment-processing fees from the connected provider. Organisers should be able to choose whether eligible fees are absorbed or passed on to buyers, and charity discounts are handled case by case against the Local Tickets platform fee.

Account and access controls

Creator and staff access should be permissioned, auditable and revocable. Final team-invite, role, event-scoped and performance-scoped access rules still need approval.

Suspension and safety

Local Tickets staff need the ability to restrict organisations, events or accounts where safety, fraud, policy or payment risks require review.
